If 2025 had a tagline, it would be: “Congrats, she’s glowing!” Because honestly? This is the year of the bump. Pregnancy reveals aren’t just announcements anymore — they’re full-on productions, complete with surprise videos, wedding sequels, and fashion campaign–level shoots.

First, Anita Asuoha (aka Real Warri Pikin) set the internet aflame in June with her Father’s Day surprise. Instead of the usual sweet post, she casually slid in the biggest news ever — another little one on the way. Cue collective heart explosions.

Then July said, “hold my mocktail,” and delivered Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux’s announcement. After a wedding that already had us bookmarking inspo pics, they doubled down with baby news. The kind of plot twist Nollywood would be proud of.

But August? August went full drama. Toke Makinwa walked into a garden, draped herself in florals and sunshine-yellow, and revealed her pregnancy with a video that looked straight out of Vogue. It wasn’t just an announcement, it was a moment. And the internet — naturally — lost it.

What ties all of this together is how these women have taken what’s usually private and turned it into unapologetically stylish celebrations of joy. It’s pregnancy, yes, but make it fashion.

So let’s call it what it is: the year of expectancy. And honestly? We’re not mad at it.
