La Mode Entrepreneur Excellence Grant

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards rolled out more than just television’s biggest names — it gave us a red carpet filled with beauty moments that felt bold, personal, and unapologetically expressive. Award season glam has always had its own rhythm, but this year’s Emmy carpet leaned into individuality in a way that made every glance, every close-up, feel like a statement.

Ashley Nicole Black reminded us that sometimes less really is more. Her face was a masterclass in minimalism — soft winged liner flicks, delicate flutter lashes, and a brown-lined nude lip that framed her smile with quiet sophistication. Nischelle Turner kept her look just as effortless, brushing copper shadow across her lids and sealing it with a lipstick that tied everything together. It was the kind of glam that whispers instead of shouts, yet still commands the lens.

Then came the bolder strokes. Janine Rubenstein, decided to live fully in her “President Barbie” era. All pink everything: lips, lids, and cheeks, creating a monochromatic canvas that managed to be fun, powerful, and picture-perfect all at once.

Hair, too, became a stage. Mona Kosar Abdi kept it soft and cinematic with a curled bob that framed her face in waves. Tracy Ifeachor let her natural afro stand tall and proud, commanding space and attention with every step — a true crown moment. Phaedra Parks gave us blonde bombshell energy, channelling Marilyn Monroe with her cropped platinum waves, while Krys Marshall went in the opposite direction, dropping jaws with waist-length, sleek strands parted down the middle. Minimal or maximal, short or floor-grazing — the hair stories told themselves.
