When the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album drops, Nigeria will not just be represented—it will be impossible to ignore.

Four of the country’s biggest music exports—Rema, Davido, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr—have all secured spots on what FIFA is calling the most ambitious multi-track music project ever assembled for a World Cup tournament. The album arrives on 5 June 2026, bringing together artists from across continents and genres in a celebration of football’s global reach.

For Nigerian music fans, it marks another major moment in Afrobeats’ continued dominance on the world stage.

Leading the charge is Burna Boy, who features on “Dai Dai” alongside global pop icon Shakira. The track serves as the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and also acts as the anthem for the FIFA Education Fund initiative. Released in May, the song quickly gained attention for its cross-cultural sound and vibrant visual storytelling, including appearances from Uganda’s famous Ghetto Kids dance group.

But Burna Boy is far from Nigeria’s only contribution.

Rema steps onto the global football soundtrack with “Goals,” a collaboration that feels tailor-made for international audiences. Teaming up with Thai superstar Lisa and Brazilian singer Anitta, the track blends Afrobeats, K-pop, and Latin pop into one of the album’s most globally connected records. Since its release, the song has generated significant buzz, proving once again that Rema’s international appeal continues to grow.

Davido also brings his signature energy to the project through “No Place Like Home,” joining forces with electronic music collective Major Lazer and Canadian music legend Nelly Furtado. The collaboration combines multiple generations and musical influences, creating a track that reflects both nostalgia and contemporary global pop culture.

Completing Nigeria’s impressive lineup is Ayra Starr, who appears on “Show Me” alongside American rapper Latto. As one of the fastest-rising stars in global music, Ayra’s inclusion further reinforces the growing influence of Nigerian women within international entertainment spaces.

Together, the four artists represent different sounds, styles, and generations of Nigerian music, yet all arrive on the same project—one tied to the world’s biggest sporting event.

The wider 18-track album boasts an equally star-studded roster, featuring names such as Future, Tyla, Stormzy, The Rolling Stones, Daddy Yankee, and 21 Savage. The result is a soundtrack designed to mirror the global nature of the World Cup itself, bringing together artists from different cultures, languages, and musical traditions.

For Nigeria, however, the significance goes beyond music.

The inclusion of four Nigerian artists on a FIFA World Cup album is another reminder of how far Afrobeats has travelled. What was once considered a regional genre now sits comfortably alongside some of the biggest names in global entertainment, shaping conversations, playlists, and cultural moments worldwide.

As football prepares to unite fans across continents, Nigerian music will once again be part of the soundtrack.

And this time, it arrives four times over.

The Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album is available for pre-save across major streaming platforms and releases in full on 5 June 2026.
