Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao has issued a heartfelt apology to Nigerians for the controversy surrounding the selection of Bobrisky as the ‘Best Dressed Female’ at the premiere of her movie, “Beast of Two Worlds.”
In an Instagram post on Thursday, March 28, 2024, Eniola expressed regret and remorse over the events that unfolded at the premiere. She took full responsibility for the controversy and sought forgiveness from the public.
“I write to you today with a heavy heart, filled with regret and remorse over the events that unfolded at my movie premiere, ‘Beast of Two Worlds,’ #ajakajuthemovie, on Sunday, 24th March 2024. I address you all today, taking full responsibility and seeking your pardon with my deepest regrets for the distress and turmoil caused by the events surrounding the selection of Best Dressed at the premiere of ‘Beast of Two Worlds,'” she wrote.
Eniola apologized to the Muslim community for any offense caused during the sacred month of Ramadan. She also expressed her profound apologies to women, acknowledging the importance of upholding and honoring womanhood.
The actress specifically apologized to veterans Femi Adebayo, his wife, and Dayo Amusa for the social media altercation that ensued. She also apologized to Bobrisky, stating that she meant no harm.
To rectify her mistakes, Eniola named two new females as the Best Dressed, Bode Alao and another attendee from the premiere. She promised to pay each of them ₦1,000,000 as a token of her sincere apology.
Eniola had previously admitted in an interview with Arise News TV that selecting Bobrisky was a deliberate action to promote the movie.
