The entertainment world is mourning the loss of actor Johnny Wactor, who passed away at the age of 37. Known for his role as Brando Corbin on General Hospital, Wactor was not just a talented actor, but also a remarkable person.
Wactor’s agent, David Shaul, remembered him as more than just a talented actor. “He was a spectacular human being,” Shaul said. “Not just a talented actor who was committed to his craft but a real moral example to everyone who knew him.”
Describing Wactor as someone who stood for hard work, tenacity, and a never-give-up attitude, Shaul praised his client’s resilience and positive outlook, even in the face of challenges. “In the highs and lows of a challenging profession, he always kept his chin up and kept striving for the best he could be,” Shaul added.
Shaul also highlighted Wactor’s generosity, stating, “He would literally give you the shirt off his back.” The agent expressed the deep impact Wactor had on those around him, saying, “After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever.”
Wactor’s life was tragically cut short when he was shot and killed in Los Angeles. According to reports, he and a colleague encountered three men attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his vehicle. Although Wactor did not try to stop them, he was shot and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Following his death, General Hospital paid tribute to Wactor on its official Instagram account, describing him as “truly one of a kind and a pleasure to work with each and every day.” The post expressed the show’s condolences to his loved ones.
Actress Sofia Mattsson, who co-starred with Wactor on General Hospital, shared her grief, calling him “one of the most incredible humans I’ve ever met ❤️.”
Wactor’s acting career spanned several notable roles in TV series such as NCIS, The OA, and Westworld, among others. Despite his success, he remained humble and grateful, as reflected in his social media posts.
