La Mode Entrepreneur Excellence Grant

At just eight years old, Michelle Odigie is proving that big ideas have no age limit. The young entrepreneur has officially launched Creel Beauty, introducing her first product, Creel Beauty Hair Growth Oil, and joining a growing generation of young founders making their mark in the beauty industry.

Driven by her love for natural hair, Michelle created the brand with a simple goal: to help people care for their hair using thoughtfully selected natural ingredients while inspiring other children to believe in their dreams.

“My name is Michelle Odigie and I am 8 years old. I am the founder of Creel Beauty. Today I am so excited to launch my first product, Creel Beauty Hair Growth Oil,” she shared.

Michelle revealed that the journey began with encouragement from her mother, who helped transform the idea into a reality. Together, they worked on everything from developing the concept to choosing the name Creel Beauty, laying the foundation for what Michelle hopes will become a growing haircare brand.

“I love natural hair, and I wanted to create an oil made with natural ingredients to help keep hair healthy, strong and beautiful. With the love and support of my family, my dream has come true,” she said.

The debut product is formulated with a blend of botanical ingredients including castor oil, coconut oil, olive oil, rosemary oil, clove oil, onion extract, fenugreek extract and vitamin E. Designed for all hair types and textures, the hair growth oil aims to nourish the scalp, strengthen strands and support healthy hair as part of a consistent haircare routine.

Available in small, medium and large sizes, the oil is suitable for children, women and men alike, reflecting Michelle’s vision of creating products that everyone can enjoy.

Beyond launching a beauty brand, Michelle hopes her story inspires other young people to pursue their ambitions without letting their age define what they can achieve.
