In a recent interview with Interview magazine, Rihanna playfully joked about feeling underdressed next to her fashion-forward partner, A$AP Rocky, 35.
“I be feeling bummy as s— next to this man. I feel like, goddamn, I look like his assistant,” she laughed, highlighting Rocky’s penchant for turning everyday moments into fashion statements, even when she’s opting for comfort.
While she doesn’t see their style differences as competition, Rihanna explained that her focus is often on dressing her kids comfortably and practically, noting that “Moms are lazy dressers in real life.”
Despite feeling overshadowed at times, Rihanna’s maternity style has been nothing short of iconic. At last year’s Met Gala, she stunned in an all-white Valentino ensemble, showcasing her bump with elegance and flair, while Rocky complemented her look with his own stylish attire.
Rihanna and Rocky’s relationship, confirmed in November 2020, has been a long time in the making. They’ve supported each other’s creative endeavors and brands, with Rihanna even appearing in Rocky’s “Fashion Killa” music video.
Reflecting on their bond, Rihanna shared, “We’ve known each other for a long time. I’ve seen him in relationships. He’s seen me in relationships. We’ve seen each other outside of relationships. We knew what we’re capable of, and the trouble that we could bring to each other’s lives.”
Their relationship, as Rihanna describes it, began with caution, recognizing the potential to deeply impact each other’s lives.
