Singer Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, known as Simi, has excited fans by revealing her plans to release a new album in 2024. The announcement was made during a conversation with actor and TV personality Taymesan on the Tea with Tay podcast. Simi, renowned for her melodious voice, last released an album titled “Simisola” in 2017, making this upcoming release highly anticipated.

During the interview, Simi delved into various aspects of her life, touching on her music, marriage, and family. She shared insights into her musical journey, tracing her passion back to the age of eight when she realized her calling as a musician. Simi also opened up about her educational experience at Covenant University, discussing both the positive impact and her disagreements with some of the institution’s doctrines.

The singer began her career singing gospel songs, with notable tracks like “Ara Ile.” However, her breakthrough came with the song “Tiff,” followed by successful collaborations with Falz on “Jamb Question” and other features like “Chemistry,” “Foreign,” and “Soldier.”

Simi, who is married to fellow artist Adekunle Gold, revealed in the interview that she never envisioned marrying an artist. When they met, she was unaware of his musical profession, emphasizing that their relationship began because he was genuinely a nice person.
