Ayra Starr turned New York City into her runway as she hosted an exclusive Manhattan listening party for her highly expected third studio album, Starr Girl.
The Nigerian singer-songwriter arrived in a dreamy periwinkle blue mini dress that perfectly captured the playful yet confident aesthetic she has become known for. The strapless design featured horizontal ruched mesh panelling that sculpted the silhouette, while a striking column of three-dimensional floral appliqués running down the centre of the bodice added texture and couture-inspired detail.

When it comes to styling a strapless mini dress, balance is everything, and Ayra got it exactly right. She paired the look with a statement multi-row rhinestone choker that filled the open neckline without overwhelming it. Slim black rectangular sunglasses introduced a cool, retro edge, while cobalt blue open-toe mule heels echoed the dress’s colour palette. A delicate gold chain anklet added a subtle finishing touch, and a glittering navy hard-shell clutch emblazoned with the word “Girl” cleverly referenced the title of her upcoming album.
Her beauty look complemented the outfit effortlessly. Ayra styled her hair in a retro-inspired updo with soft side-swept fringe, while bronze-toned makeup, sculpted cheeks, and defined lip liner completed the glamorous appearance.
The intimate event gave fans, media, and industry insiders an exclusive first listen to Starr Girl ahead of its global release on 14 August 2026 via Mavin Records and Republic Records.

The forthcoming album marks another significant chapter in Ayra Starr’s career, bringing together an impressive lineup of collaborators including Zayn Malik, Theodora, KWN, Danny Ocean, Leon Thomas, and FOLA. It also builds on the momentum of a string of well-received singles, including “Tornado,” “Where Do We Go,” “Who’s That Girl” featuring Rema, “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid, and “Hot Body.”
As anticipation continues to build for Starr Girl, Ayra Starr is proving that she’s not only entering a new musical era but doing so with a fashion identity that’s just as bold, polished, and unforgettable.
