With the Fall 2026 fashion shows in Paris barely wrapped, the red carpet at the 98th Academy Awards (Oscars) quickly became the next runway for high fashion. Held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 15, the ceremony brought together the film industry’s biggest stars and with them, a wave of classic Hollywood glamour reimagined for today.

Among the standout looks of the evening was Rose Byrne, who arrived in a sleek black gown by Dior. The dress featured a dramatic open back that dipped halfway down, complemented by delicate beaded floral details inspired by themes from Jonathan Anderson’s recent collection reminiscent of flowers scattered across the gardens of the Tuileries Garden.

Meanwhile, Jessie Buckley stayed loyal to Chanel, wearing a custom pink bustier chiffon gown paired with a bold red satin leather stole. The look paid tribute to old Hollywood elegance, drawing inspiration from the iconic style of Grace Kelly during her Oscars appearances in the 1950s.

A subtle bridal theme also emerged throughout the evening. Both Mia Goth and Elle Fanning embraced ethereal white looks, leaning into the romantic trend that dominated the night. Fanning elevated her ensemble with a remarkable archival piece, a necklace from Cartier dating back to 1904, adding a historic layer of glamour to the red carpet.

On the menswear front, Best Actor nominees Timothée Chalamet and Jacob Elordi brought polished elegance to the carpet. Chalamet opted for an ivory tuxedo by Givenchy, while Elordi stepped out in a sleek tuxedo by Bottega Veneta both proving that modern tailoring can still feel timeless.

One of the most striking looks of the night came from Teyana Taylor, who stunned in a dramatic black-and-white feather gown by Matthieu Blazy. She paired the statement gown with dazzling jewelry from Tiffany & Co., including a platinum necklace set with a diamond weighing over 18 carats, adding an extra dose of sparkle to the already unforgettable ensemble.
