Three stars walked the streets of London this week looking like they shared one style brief and it worked. Funke Akindele, Waje and Shoday were in the UK to promote The Four: No One Fights Alone, and their coordinated outfits gave us everything we needed for a full style breakdown. The trio was in London ahead of the film’s UK premiere at ODEON Luxe Leicester Square on 29 November 2026, which will be the first Nollywood title to premiere at that venue. The film hits cinemas worldwide on 11 December. But before the red carpet, the three made a quiet fashion statement that deserves its own spotlight.

Both Funke and Waje started with an off-white textured cotton buba and iro set. That’s where the similarity ends. Funke’s version carried crimson-red roses with spiral stitching across the bodice and bell sleeves. Yellow sunflowers and green leafy stems ran down her wrapper. She tied the look together with a golden-yellow head wrap, layered gold necklaces, a broad cuff bracelet and metallic red platform sandals.

Waje went softer. Her blouse had lavender roses along the neckline and sleeves, and large green floral appliqués sat at the hem of her wrapper. A lavender-trimmed scarf, a gold necklace with turquoise stones, matching earrings and multi-coloured platform heels finished her look. Same base fabric, two different floral stories. That is the sweet spot for group coordination, you look like a team without looking like a photocopy.

Shoday took a different path. He wore a single-breasted blazer covered in bold chevron embroidery in turquoise, yellow, red and blue. Underneath: a beige mesh-knit top and cream wide-leg trousers. Stacked silver Cuban-link chains and dark dress shoes rounded out the outfit. The key move was restraint. The chains and neutral base let the colourful jacket be the main event. It gave the group a contemporary counterpoint to the traditional ensembles worn by Funke and Waje, while still sitting comfortably in the same colour family.

This was not just a photo op. The coordinated styling tied directly into the film’s identity. The Four: No One Fights Alone already leaned into Adire-inspired fashion during its earlier press tour, with looks from Aso Nigeria and Ola Reay styled by Zack Styling Luxury.

The London outing extended that thread with hand-appliquéd florals and custom embroidery, keeping the story consistent from Lagos to London. For anyone building a style board or planning a coordinated group outfit, the lesson is simple: pick one base, let the details do the separating, and give each person one clear accent colour. Funke got red and gold. Waje got lavender and turquoise. Shoday got the full rainbow on his jacket. Nobody competed with anybody, and the group photo tells one clean story.

The Four: No One Fights Alone premieres in the UK on 29 November and opens in cinemas worldwide on 11 December 2026. Tickets for the London screening have already sold out.
