Ciara and daughter Sienna Princess Wilson delivered a powerful dose of fashion and family goals at The Connie Orlando Foundation’s inaugural Black Women in Music Dinner, held in Los Angeles on June 3.

Dressed in sleek, coordinated black-and-white pantsuits, the mother-daughter duo turned the red carpet into their own private runway. At just eight years old, Sienna exuded confidence and style, standing proudly beside her mum, who was one of the evening’s six honorees.

The event, hosted by The Connie Orlando Foundation, was more than a dinner—it was a cultural moment. Designed to honour Black women’s contributions to music, the night spotlighted powerhouse talents who continue to shape the sound and soul of the industry. Ciara was celebrated alongside Sylvia Rhone, June Ambrose, Phylicia Fant, DJ Kiss, and Flo Ngala, each recognized for their enduring impact across music, fashion, photography, and media.

In her statement, Connie Orlando, the foundation’s founder, captured the heartbeat of the evening:

“Black women in music continue to be a transcendent and driving force of creative expression… Their contributions are not just transformative; they are the heartbeat of innovation and culture.”

The event also served as the foundation’s first official fundraiser, supporting breast cancer awareness and research. In partnership with HarbourView Equity Partners, led by Sherrese Clarke, the night reinforced a mission to provide essential resources and community support to women across industries.
