La Mode Entrepreneur Excellence Grant

Saskay has added a new achievement to her résumé, and she dressed for the occasion.

The reality TV star is celebrating her Master of Arts in Global Security and Strategy from VUB Brussels School of Governance, marking the academic milestone with a graduation photoshoot in a custom Nola kaftan by Nigerian fashion brand Hertunba.

Rather than opting for a conventional graduation outfit, Saskay chose a design that celebrates African fashion through bold patterns, flowing proportions and striking accessories.

The cream-coloured kaftan features oversized chocolate-brown motifs, with a series of circular embellishments running down the front. Fine gold detailing adds texture to the design, while a V-shaped neckline and wide sleeves give the silhouette an effortless elegance.

The contrast between the soft cream fabric and dark geometric patterns makes the outfit particularly striking. Its relaxed construction also allows the decorative details to take centre stage.

Saskay complemented the kaftan with a chocolate-brown headscarf in one photograph, then revealed her closely shaved head in another. Statement gold earrings, layered necklaces, chunky cuffs and rings brought additional richness to the warm colour palette.

Her beauty look was equally expressive. A deep brown lip and winged eyeliner were paired with graphic black facial markings, giving the portraits an artistic edge.

The photographs, set against warm interiors and a green velvet sofa, incorporate books and her university graduation folder, connecting the fashion story to the achievement being celebrated.

What stands out is how Saskay has made the occasion her own. The kaftan honours contemporary African design, the styling reflects her individuality, and the academic details remind us why the photographs matter.

A master’s degree, a custom Hertunba creation and a milestone worth celebrating.

Congratulations to Saskay on her achievement.
