La Mode: How do you handle competition in business?
Christabel : I do not worry about having competitors, it’s called healthy competition because i know there is room for everyone to make it, there is room for everyone to be successful. I’ve learned how to handle it. I know firsthand how important it is to pay attention to businesses in your industry (so you can learn from them) but also not to make them your priority. You should put your energy into your own entrepreneurial tasks above all else.
La Mode: What is your view about entrepreneurship in Nigeria?
Christabel : Entrepreneurship is an important factor in the development of any nation. Entrepreneurship in Nigeria is not really easy. Some of the problems we face are lack of funds, and difficulty in securing loans from banks.. The absence of infrastructural facilities for smooth running of the business, example regular electricity supply. But Entrepreneurs are trying, we keep striving. But the Government can do better in terms of providing
Basic infrastructures such as power, water, and transport systems because these are necessary to boost entrepreneurship.
La Mode: What are your hobbies?
Christabel : Reading,Cooking, listening to music, traveling, spending time with my family playing and making them laugh.
La Mode: What is your advice for people who look up to you?
Christabel : Never give up on your dreams, never feel discouraged when things aren’t going the way you hoped. Lot of people will tell you that you can’t do it or you can’t make it in the business, but I tell you if your heart is in it and you feel it, there is nothing that will stop you.
