Simi made a refined style statement at her mother Jedidiah Ogunleye’s 70th birthday celebration, stepping out in a custom burgundy and crimson corset lace gown paired with a matching striped gele. The look balanced cultural tradition with contemporary design, fitting for a deeply personal and celebratory occasion.

Simi shares a joyful hug with her mother, Jedidiah Ogunleye, during her landmark 70th birthday celebration.

The gown was crafted on a sheer lace mesh base and detailed with glass beadwork, metallic sequins, and floral appliqués placed along the hips to subtly sculpt the silhouette. A sweetheart neckline flowed into sheer sleeves, while leaf-shaped paillettes cascaded across the skirt, creating soft light movement with every step.

The colour story remained central throughout the styling. A burgundy gele with copper threading tied the palette together, while gold accessories were kept minimal, including hoop earrings, a slim choker, and a diamond ring. A crimson manicure added a subtle finishing touch, reinforcing the cohesive tone of the look.

Her beauty direction followed a similarly restrained approach, featuring a matte base, softly defined brows, rose-toned eyes, and a neutral glossy lip. The overall styling leaned into understated glamour, allowing the craftsmanship of the outfit and the significance of the occasion to take centre stage.

Simi’s look ultimately struck a balance between celebration and elegance, delivering a fashion moment that honoured both family tradition and her signature polished aesthetic.
