Dede Ashiogwu had no interest in blending into the wedding crowd.
For Akin Faminu and Kiky Festus’ white wedding, the fashion girl chose royal blue satin and let the colour carry the first impression.

Her self-styled strapless gown came with a fitted bodice, a heart-shaped beaded detail across the bust and an oversized side train that gave the otherwise sleek silhouette plenty of drama.
The heart detail was the clever part.
Against the clean strapless neckline, the beaded shape added just enough playfulness to stop the gown from feeling too formal or predictable. Then the train took the look in the opposite direction, creating that little bit of red-carpet drama that makes a wedding guest look memorable.

The satin helped too. Its glossy finish caught the light and made the deep blue appear even richer, giving the gown a regal quality without relying on heavy embellishment from head to toe.
Dede also knew when to stop.
