Some fabrics do all the talking, and Osas Ighodaro found one worth listening to. The actress stepped out in a striking Hertunba two-piece that turned blue, gold and white stripes into a sunlit fashion moment.

The matching corset top and flowing skirt share a lustrous woven fabric, but the real appeal lies in how the stripes move across each piece. Royal blue provides depth, golden yellow catches the light, and white breaks up the colour combination with a crisp finish.

The cropped corset features a sweetheart neckline and halter tie, with curved stripes shaping the bust before running vertically towards the waist. It’s fitted without competing with the skirt, which brings the drama.

Cut high at the waist, the skirt opens into a flared peplum before falling into an asymmetric hem with pointed edges. The stripes change direction across the fabric, creating movement and making the silhouette feel even more dynamic.

Osas kept the accessories within the outfit’s golden palette. Gold strappy heels, delicate drop earrings and a fine forehead chain complement the fabric, while gold wire wrapped around her high, sculpted bun adds an unexpected regal touch.

Her warm makeup, subtle blue and gold eye accents and nude lip complete the look without distracting from the textiles.

What makes this ensemble work is the way it celebrates African fabric through contemporary construction. The corset brings structure, the skirt adds fluidity, and the metallic threads give the entire outfit a natural glow in daylight.

It’s a reminder that traditional textile influences don’t need elaborate styling to make an impact. Give the fabric room to shine, and the rest can follow.
