If style and romance had a power couple, it would look a lot like Akin Faminu and Kiky Festus. The duo showed up at the Love In Every Word: The Wedding premiere looking like they’d stepped straight out of a modern fairytale — equal parts regal, romantic, and unapologetically Nigerian.

Set the scene: soft music playing (yes, Timi Dakolo’s “Obim” feels about right), a flash of coral beads, a swirl of velvet and sequins — and there they are. Akin and Kiky, serving a masterclass in how to blend tradition with contemporary luxury.

Akin opted for a midi-length black velvet overcoat, layered over a gold-embroidered top that glistened under the light. The look was grounded with a flowing tan agbada, a red cap with a single feather, and those signature dark sunglasses that somehow made tradition feel red-carpet ready.

Kiky, on the other hand, was the perfect counterpart — soft yet commanding. She wore a gold corset blouse with sculpted, beaded sleeves that framed her shoulders like art, paired with a deep emerald wrapper detailed in sequins and beads. Her dark green gele was neatly tied, her fan feathered and inscribed with “KIKY”, and her accessories glowed in shades of gold and green.

Together, they made love, culture, and style look effortless — proof that chemistry and coordination might just be the best accessories any couple can wear.

And between us, if these looks are the prelude to wedding fits, we’re not just excited — we’re invested.
