Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has worn enough colours to fill a fashion mood board, but royal purple might be one of his strongest yet.

Ebuka

For the latest eviction show, the host stepped out in a deep purple velvet agbada by D29 Africa, giving traditional Nigerian menswear a rich, modern finish. Set against a private jet hangar, the look felt less like standard Sunday-night dressing and more like Ebuka reminding us why his eviction-show wardrobe is part of the entertainment.

The velvet did most of the work. Its deep purple tone gave the agbada a luxurious presence, while vertical beaded embroidery added texture without breaking up the clean silhouette. A structured Yoruba fila in matching brocade brought the traditional elements together.

Then came the details that kept the look from feeling too formal. Long black stone beads with silver spacers, a matching bracelet and gold-framed gradient aviators gave the outfit a cooler edge. Black tasseled loafers finished the look with subtle metallic detailing.

What makes the outfit work is the balance. Purple brings the drama, velvet brings the luxury and the traditional silhouette keeps it unmistakably Nigerian.

Ebuka has made Sunday nights a reliable fashion appointment, but this one feels especially strong. Royal purple suits him.
