Kim Kardashian is one proud mama, and she’s not afraid to show it!
On Saturday, May 25, the SKIMS founder, 43, took to Instagram to share some heartwarming behind-the-scenes moments from her 10-year-old daughter North West’s performance as Young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King live concert at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
In the first clip on her Instagram Stories, Kim can be seen sitting in the audience with her daughter Chicago, 6, both singing along to the iconic “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” The reality star added a sweet caption over the video, saying, “I was feeling it @thelionking.”
But the cute moments didn’t stop there. Kim also posted a touching photo of North helping little sister Chicago with her hair backstage. The caption read, “Never too busy to help her sister with her edges,” highlighting North’s nurturing side. It’s clear that the bond between the Kardashian-West siblings is strong!
Another snap showed North in full costume as Young Simba, looking every bit the star she was born to be. There was also a fun photo of North posing with the character Zazu, and another priceless moment with Jason Weaver, who originally sang as Young Simba in the 1994 animated movie and made a special appearance in the live concert.
Kim couldn’t be more thrilled about North’s involvement in such a prestigious event. Earlier this month, it was announced that North would be part of Disney’s The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event. The concert, which was a two-day live event, will soon air on Disney+, giving even more fans a chance to witness North’s shining performance.
North shared the stage with an impressive lineup, including Heather Headley, Lebo M., and Jennifer Hudson, who appeared as a special guest. Franchise veterans like Billy Eichner, Bradley Gibson, Ernie Sabella, Jeremy Irons, and Nathan Lane also graced the concert with their performances.
The Hollywood Bowl was alive with magic as North belted out “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” leaving the audience and her family beaming with pride.
