Uganda is proudly celebrating a momentous win as Natasha Nyonyozi clinches one of Miss World’s most prestigious titles: Beauty With a Purpose. Her project, The Nyonyozi Initiative, is a powerful advocacy platform aimed at improving visibility, support, and inclusion for children with autism in Uganda.

What makes this even more remarkable is that Natasha’s mission is deeply personal—her younger brother is autistic. This family connection fuels her passion, turning her advocacy into action and shining a spotlight on neurodivergent children who are often overlooked in mainstream society. Her work is not just raising awareness—it’s helping shift long-held societal perceptions and driving forward systemic change.

Back-to-Back Victories for Uganda

Natasha’s win marks the second consecutive Beauty With a Purpose title for Uganda, following Hannah Karema’s win at the 71st Miss World Festival just a year earlier. This rare back-to-back achievement signals a growing global recognition of Uganda’s social impact work, especially in the field of inclusion and community development.

Quarterfinals & Top 10 Spot Secured

With this win, Natasha advances to the Miss World quarterfinals, placing Uganda among Africa’s Top 10 in the pageant. She stands alongside Namibia’s Selma Kamanya and Zambia’s Faith Bwalya, reinforcing Africa’s presence in the competition.

She also joins fellow Beauty With a Purpose winners:

  • Nicole Kezia (Indonesia – Asia and Oceania)
  • Millie–Mae Wales (Wales – Europe)
  • Valeria Perez (Puerto Rico – Americas and Caribbean)

All four winners now move forward in the global competition, each representing a unique cause and community.

Why Beauty With a Purpose Matters

For those new to the pageant, Beauty With a Purpose is not just a segment—it’s the heart of Miss World. It honors contestants who dedicate themselves to making tangible, lasting change through social action projects. It’s less about sashes and more about service.

Natasha’s victory is a reminder that beauty with compassion, purpose, and empathy can echo louder than any runway appearance. And Uganda? It’s making sure the world hears that echo—loud and clear.
