Tina Knowles, proud grandma and matriarch of the Knowles family, took to Instagram to celebrate her grandson, Daniel Julez Smith, known as Julez, as he made his runway debut at the Luar fashion show during New York Fashion Week.
Accompanied by her daughters, Solange Knowles and Beyoncé Knowles, Tina attended the show in Brooklyn, causing a stir among attendees who were curious about their presence. Despite Beyoncé’s absence from NYFW since 2015, the family’s attendance made sense once Julez, 19, hit the runway.
Julez strutted down the runway in an oversized leather trench with fur cuffs, paired with matching leather pants, while his proud mom, Solange, captured the moment with her camera in hand.
Tina shared her excitement on Instagram, posting a video of Julez on the runway and praising his performance. She also shared a photo of herself with her daughters, Julez, designer Raul Lopez, and her niece Angie Beyince, expressing her pride in Julez’s accomplishment.
For the occasion, Tina looked chic in a long-sleeved black blazer top with a plunging neckline, paired with black pants and brown leather hand gloves adorned with gold rings and bracelets. Her bright red lip added a pop of color to her ensemble.
Solange opted for a midriff-baring look with a skirt featuring a daring slit, paired with pointy-toe heels and “Luar” branded black tights. She kept her glam ethereal with soft waves in her hair.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé embraced her new country era, sporting a gray embellished look by Gaurav Gupta Couture, accessorized with a holographic Luar bag and a cowboy hat reminiscent of her latest music release.
Speaking of her music, Beyoncé surprised fans during the 2024 Super Bowl with a Verizon ad where she attempted to break the 5G cellular network in various ways before releasing two new singles, “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES,” a preview of her upcoming album set to be released on March 29.
