The rumors, stemming from an April Fools’ prank by a Kenyan media outlet, claimed that Davido had been arrested for drug possession after his performance at the Raha Festival.
The false reports alleged that cocaine worth Ksh18 million was found on Davido’s private jet at JKIA, where he was reportedly detained for investigation.
Davido, who has been nominated for a Grammy award, responded to these claims, stating that they were untrue and that he would take legal action against the defamatory news publication.
Fans expressed concern over the reports, but Davido reassured them that he was not arrested and that the rumors were part of a prank.
