The 2023 @greenoctoberevent awareness has commenced and this year’s theme is “Disability Awareness and Mental Health “

Missie is a wheelchair dancer, model, and community leader from Fort Worth, Texas.

She was paralyzed from the waist down in 2019 from a tumor removal. She has slowly began regaining some leg function back and is able to walk short distances with a walker.
She joined a renowned dance team in California and learned to dance in a wheelchair.
She now lead an adaptive event group for women with disabilities called Wheelie Babes. They try new activities every month in Dallas- Fort Worth and empower one another.
