Nathaniel Bassey Is 45, and His Birthday Message Gives All the Glory to God
Nathaniel Bassey is celebrating 45 today, and the gospel minister isn’t making the milestone about himself.
The singer, trumpeter and Hallelujah Challenge convener marked his birthday with a simple message of gratitude, declaring the new year “the year of the Lord’s favour, the year of New Beauty, [and] the year of Honour.”
His wife, Sarah Bassey, also celebrated him with a touching tribute, describing him as a psalmist, trumpeter, songwriter, mentor, pastor, father and friend—but, in her words, “To me, he is My OWN!”
After years of using his music and the Hallelujah Challenge to bring worship to audiences around the world, Bassey enters 45 with plenty to celebrate.
And if the birthday messages flooding social media are anything to go by, he isn’t celebrating alone.
