The wait is finally over! Afrobeat sensation Tems has officially announced the title and release date for her debut studio album.
On April 15, 2024, Tems took to social media to unveil the title of her highly-anticipated album: “Born in the Wild.” The album is set to be released in May 2024, much to the delight of her fans around the world.
In a captivating video announcement, Tems shared glimpses of her life in Lagos, her hometown, against the backdrop of her melodic voice singing the title track. The video seamlessly transitions between scenes of a younger Tems and her present self, creating a nostalgic and powerful visual experience.
Tems had previously revealed to Billboard Magazine that her album was “a 1000% ready,” and she recently hosted an exclusive listening party for industry insiders. Fans can expect a unique blend of Tems’ signature sound and heartfelt lyrics in “Born in the Wild.”
Additionally, during the first week of Coachella, Tems surprised fans by bringing out Wizkid and Justin Bieber to perform their hit track, “Essence,” live for the first time. She also treated the audience to an unreleased song, “Love Me Jeje,” from her upcoming album, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
