Time truly flies. It feels like only yesterday that fashion designer Veekee James and her husband, Femi Atere, announced they were expecting their first child. After revealing the pregnancy in February 2026, hosting a gender reveal in Dubai, and welcoming baby Eliana Adeife Atere in May, the couple have now celebrated another beautiful milestone with their daughter’s church dedication.
Eliana’s name, derived from EL (God) and ANA (He has answered), carries the heartfelt meaning, “My God has answered,” making the dedication ceremony even more meaningful for the family.
For the special occasion, the Ateres embraced coordinated white traditional looks that reflected elegance, craftsmanship, and celebration.
Veekee James wore a breathtaking bespoke design from her own fashion label, Veekee James. The floor-length fitted gown featured a structured corset bodice, dramatic peplum waist, fringed cap sleeves, and a sweeping train. Delicate rows of white pearls flowed across the bodice, skirt, and extended train, creating texture and movement while maintaining a clean monochromatic finish.
She completed the look with a neatly tied white gele, a layered pearl choker, matching pearl bracelet, structured white clutch, and pointed white heels. A bold red lipstick paired with matching red nails added the perfect contrast against the all-white ensemble.
Femi Atere matched the regal aesthetic in a contemporary white Agbada featuring striking architectural shoulders and intricate white-on-white corded embroidery. Swirling pearl embellishments decorated the front panel and extended to the trouser hems, adding a subtle dimension to the design.
His accessories completed the ceremonial look beautifully, including a structured white fila, layered white beaded necklaces, a matching bracelet, polished black leather loafers, and a carved black walking stick finished with a lion-head handle.
