In a new Instagram post shared on October 8, the 69-year-old momager and style icon ditched her signature brunette locks for a striking platinum blonde makeover, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton. The transformation video—cheekily captioned “Blondie”—was pure cinematic glam.
The clip opens with a bare-faced Kris in a white towel and a brown zip-up hoodie as Appleton mixes up the perfect blonde formula. Cue Sabrina Carpenter’s “When Did You Get Hot?”, and suddenly, the Kardashian matriarch is mouthing, “Wait, I need a minute,” like she knows exactly what’s about to happen. Spoiler: she did.
Moments later, the camera spin reveals her new platinum locks and a sleek all-black look that screamed “I invented the soft launch.” The glam squad—makeup artist Ash K. Holm included—was tagged in the post, with Holm proudly commenting, “We did that!!!” And she’s not wrong.
