Martinique has a new queen, and her name is Maureen-Alycia Lucéa-Merlin. The Afro-Martinican beauty has been crowned Miss Martinique 2026 at a glittering ceremony held at the Grand Carbet du Parc Culturel Aimé Césaire, succeeding Léaline Patry and securing her place as the island’s newest representative for Miss France 2027.

The 24-year-old social care professional from Fort-de-France stood out throughout the competition with a calm, assured presence and strong stage poise. At 1m76, she carried herself with elegance across every segment of the pageant, reflecting both her personal discipline and the cultural pride she represents.

Beyond pageantry, Maureen-Alycia’s profile is rooted in public service. Working within the EHPAD sector, she is actively involved in supporting elderly care, bringing a grounded dimension to her public image. Her prior experience as first runner-up in Miss Martinique 2020 also added depth to her return to the competition stage.

The final lineup reflected a strong year for Caribbean pageantry, with Nathanaëlle Hélène finishing as first runner-up, Loanne Nodin as second runner-up, Laura Laventure in third, and Laureen Lixfé completing the top five. The evening closed on a high note, setting the stage for Maureen-Alycia’s upcoming journey to the Miss France 2027 competition this December.
